Hotel Dann Monasterio, Popayan

The hotel's location in Popayan is fantastic, near the main plaza 'Parque Caldas,' with helpful staff and a pretty central courtyard. However, the rooms overlooking the pool were a bit tired and lacked good lighting. The service was supportive overall, although poorly trained in various areas. The dining experience was below 5-star standards, but the steaks were great.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. On the positive side, the location was unbeatable in the heart of Popayan with easy access to the town's squares and a variety of dining options within walking distance. However, the room was tiny with no air conditioner, and the breakfast service left much to be desired.
